Post crappness.

I love people.

Really. Some people just make me so happy whenever I see them :') I really love you guys.

Days like this make me think about the beauty of human relationships. Sometimes I just want to become hermit and hide away from the world, and never talk to anyone again and go buy a farm in Tasmania or English countryside somewhere and become self sustainable and never have to see people again, such is my mood and lack of faith in humanity. (Or quite possibly perhaps instead, it's a lack of faith in myself? I dunno.)

And then people do magnificent, seemingly small gestures that make me believe that there is hope, that not everyone is selfish, and that if you look hard enough there is always a legit reason why people act like such an ass.

So thank you guys.

Speaking of things that cheered me up, I thought I should make a list to keep me in a positive frame of mind :)

- BT's mix CD. I'm listening to it now. It's really great. :) It's the kind of music I like to listen to but never know where to find it from haha.
- Skip Beat update :)
- Cake making plans with KF.
- Organising payments :)
- 9gag. oh that brilliant site of happiness
- this video.
Nothing like listening to Freddie to brainwashing yourself into HAVING A GOOD TIME, HAVING A GOOD TIME!
- Reading cooking blogs.
- Reading anything other than what i'm prescribed for school
- Watching The Voice
- Cleaning my desk
- Practising rapping like nicki minaj, because she has a great accent for my drama piece.
- Sharpening pencils
- Reading my ext2work.
- Playing with my adorable owl, pretending it bears a letter from Hogwarts...

- Home made coffee. I'm getting really good at making coffee at home, without a coffee machine. I can even make cafe style latte. The trick is this milkshake blender thing that is like 15 years old that I've been previously using to make bisques and creamy vegetable soups, because there's a blade in it that cutes things like pumpkin down so it tastes thick and smooth. But that's not the point. It looks like this:

And what I've been doing is using COFFEE TEA BAGS, which is quite possibly the best invention in the world, and also chai tea bags to make it.

But seriously, coffee bags are genius. It even lets you make those pretty designs in the froth :)

The important thing is to remember - in cafes they don't use much water. I've been watching the barrista's prep coffee whenever i went to the cafe (which was about 5 times in a week last week lol, i ended up getting soy latte a lot, because it has less fat and less caffine, but it doesn't help much haha) and they don't add water. Water is only used in the form of STEAM to super heat & froth your drink up. Which is why those instant coffee stuff doesn't taste good, cause you have to add too much hot water and not enough milk.

Anyway, if you're interested, i can write about how to make cafe style coffee/chai latte, with designs and everything. And it's dead easy if you have a tea bag. Or even you can make your own, they're not hard.

NOTHING IS BETTER THAN COFFEE TO HELP YOU STAY UP AND DO MATH HOMEWORK.

REALLY. IT REALLY HELPS.

Also saw this on 9gag and found it to be my life right now.

I think they're all quite cute, so i followed the blog :) CHECK IT OUT.

So in the words of Veggietales,

God made you special, and he loves you very much.

Goodbye!

Kids these days...

I know i sound like an old grandma (alot) but this has to get out.

I was at a family friend's house the other day (not you MH so don't worry, your house was cool.) and i saw these two little kids, who i usually find adorable, loving siblings to each other, battling it out for a bag of chips and the wii controllers to play rabid rabbits or whatever.

this thing. (actually the room looked like her house, so i choose it.)

At any rate, the older brother didn't want to let his sister eat chips OR play games, you i told him off (he's like 6 and she's 2) and he wanted ME to play with him instead, so i let her play with me (the thing was a shaking and controlling thing, so i told her to shake it while i moved. Blood Hell those games require co ordination.) and he got all huffy so he said he was  "going for a bike ride" in his backyard and he took the Pringles with him.

So i was playing very happily with the little girl, playing the games she was denied to play because her brother didn't want her to, and he got very upset when he came back in, face all crumbed over.

I get the food thing, every one loves pringles. But what i don't understand is how they were fighting so much about a TWO PLAYER GAME. There are only two kids. Why didn't they get along in a two player game??? I mean, i have two siblings, so we usually go by a winner continues system (which my brother doesn't like, cause he always looses) but that would create more room for arguement i understand. But in a two player game, how can they argue? There are two controllers, the older boy is ALWAYS going to win, so he doesn't have to worry about that at all. So why didn't he let her play? I thought this was rather unfair, and i wondered why i don't think i ever had these arguements as a kid.

And then i realised that WE DIDN'T PLAY WITH CONSOLES.

When i was younger, we ran around with dolls and wands and fake wings and tea sets and fought dragons and jumped on the couches and threw pillows at dragons trying to avoid lava, knocking over vases and breaking remotes and having to stand in corners for an hour for being rowdy. We coloured in and made up stories and put on Barbie fashion shows (i don't like Barbie now, i really don't condone it for young females, it's been statistically proven to alter their concepts of beauty, which is bad for young forming female minds)

At anyrate, it's hard to fight with each other when you are going off to battle to save you other sibling who has to be dying of some sickness and come galloping back with the cure, or design a killer fashion show or kill pirates or whatever. (btw we all had super powers.)

It's sad to me when i see babies playing on iphones, when four year olds have facebook, and when the only book twelve year old girls have read are teen romance novels based on Twilight and twilight itself.

Speaking of twilight, i read this article which i found so true.

http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/society-and-culture/twilight-girls-learn-to-give-up-all-for-love-20091118-imfx.html?autostart=1

In terms of role models for future generations, i'm finding serious lacking in the female department. And it seriously concerns me when girls like 6 years of age want to find a perfect vampire boyfriend, to turn them into immortal vampire beauties.

seriously.

What are the values that this book is espousing? Nevermind that the writing is awful and there is no plotline and character development, THIS IS IT. Bela is willing to KILL HERSELF for a man, ready to reject and outlive her family for a man, all to eager to see her boyfriend than study (not ONCE is an exam mentioned, hell she lives in a shell for six months, not caring about life at all after Edward leaves her. what kind of a concern for her future is that?) all she cares about is Edward, and looking young and beautiful for the rest of her life.

Then, she marries at 18 years old to a guy who is practically her over possessive stalker (he watched her when she slept BEFORE she expressed intrest in him) and has woo hoo and has a baby, which btw the baby is potentially deadly and is not allowed by vampire rules because vampire babies are WRONG AND DANGEROUS but hey, bella says eff the rules my boyfriend is hot. And decides to have the baby, which puts THE WHOLE FAMILY at risk of death.

So to sum up, Bella is a bad role model because:
1. She doesn't care about bettering herself
2. She only cares about being beautiful
3. She doesn't care for her "immortal soul" as stated in the book, because she is willing to do everything for Edward and vampire beauty
4. She gives up everything for a guy. (not that i'm banging on love and all. I'm just saying that you need to have self respect and PERSPECTIVE.)
5. She is selfish and manipulative. (c'mon, jacob vs edward? more like how to hurt two people who love you more than they should and more they deserve.)
6. She's unbelievibly stupid.

Thankfully we do have one heroine of our era that is worth it, with a movie hype almost as brilliant.

Hermione Granger.

:)

GO JK ROWLING. THANK YOU FOR GRACING US WITH A HEROINE WHO IS A PERFECT ROLE MODEL FOR GIRLS OF THE 21ST CENTURY.

Hermoine Granger IS a good role model because:
1. She works hard.
She studies so much, she wasn't called 'the brightest witch in her year' for nothing. Hagrid even said 'there isn't a spell that our hermione can't do.'
2. She is cares about her friends
She tried to be there for Ginny with her boy troubles, told Ron off for interfering, and backed up Harry and Ron whenever they needed homework help.
3. She took care of her family.
She ensured her family stayed safe during the 2nd rising of Voldemort, she was never ashamed of where she comes from (mudblood and proud!) and she listened to her parent's opinions over her own (dental alterations, she could have magically reduced her teeth but she didn't because her father didn't want her too.)
4. She didn't go stupid over love.
When she was going out with Victor Krum, she still supported Harry in the Tri-wizard tournament. When Ron and Harry were having a fight in the deathly hallows, she backed up harry and stayed with him, because he, and the whole wizarding world, needed her, regardless of her feelings towards Ron. She knew what the right thing to do was, and she put her personal matters and feelings aside to do it.
5. She is a social activist.
She sees injustice and fights it. She wanted to instigate the DA, because she knew Umbridge was evil. She even cared about those who no one else noticed, and she fought for them. Even if it was a little misguided. (SPEW)
6. She had her own identity away from Harry and Ron.
JK didn't make Hermione just a side kick, a character to be noted and thrown away, even though she wasn't the main character. She wasn't stupidly love sick and did everything for love. She has her own personality, her own interests, her own character, and she FIGHTS. SHE FIGHTS FOR THE THINGS SHE LOVES.

The only time i can remember her being irrationally silly is that classic line. "I'm going to bed, before someone gets one of us killed. Or worse, expelled." And when Ron and her were having that love tiff, trying to make each other jelly.

But hey, i can forgive her. Twice in 7 books of kick assery.

In short, i hope young girls take Hermione as their role model, as opposed to Bella Swann.

hehe. One of the comments in the article said this.

I'm happy :)

Regardless of crappy marks, i had enough good things that happened to me today to make it worth it. LTEC, cloud watching, hearing news about camp and jersey and disco...

But i think easily the coolest thing was when Mac praised my english accent scrip read and gave me a hug. Yup. A HUG people.

AND THEN during ext2 check up with Bob and Mac they both were praising my concept and saying its really original and they expect it to do really well.... Aha im so happy :)

And we had the traditional friday night movie :) George of the Jungle, haven't seen that one in a long time. I got all the clever inter textual references and the breaking the fourth wall stuff, it was funnier than i remember. It's so cool when you go back and watch movies from your childhood and you just get all the references... :)
here's the trailer...

The only thing that was weird about today was that weird stalker dude at the library... he kept turning around randomly for no reason trying to get eye contact and he talked to me once, asking me about the internet and i was just like, i dunno... and then plugged ear phones in. And so he packed up and just sat there, talking on the phone and looking at me, turning around to look at me mind you, not sitting opposite to me and accidentally having eye contact. His back was facing me and every time i looked up i saw him turn around, it was weird.

And the creepiest part is that after he had finished packing up and stuff, he was just sitting there on the phone. My dad texted me to wait downstairs for him, so i packed up and stood up AND SO DID HE.

So i legged it.

And i seriously hope he doesn't show up at the library again... even if it was coincidence, it was still severely creepy...

anyway, i hope you're happy with your results, and if you're not, don't worry. It's not important. Just do better on the next one. :)

Bye kids.

Past few days

Have been going to cafes more often for some unknown reason. This is from sunday, in an outdoor cafe near my church in the awesome area of surry hills. Went op shopping with my sister there, they have the coolest recycled clothing from all different eras and styles.

Though for some reason a ridiculous amount of denim.

And i do love everything they have, but unfortunately it was all quite out of my price range.

And they have the quirkiest shops. People open up their own private art galleries in their homes and put on sale things they make and collect.

Seriously, my church is located in such a cool area, you walk down one road you reach market city, up the same road woolworths and industrial district, the other way, one side is art galleries and cafes, and the other is the upper class restraunts, parks and libraries.

Plus the architecture in Surry Hills is awesome.  You get really old, terraced buildings next to modern, hip art galleries, shops and cafes.

And a lot of these cafes and galleries just use the first floor of the terraced buildings :)

Sorry if this seems like ranting haha

Also they have one of the best pastizzi places ever nearby.

They are the taste of my childhood.

Saw this on RL blog Oliver and i thought i'd do it :) Her blog makes me think, because her way of thinking is so different to me. :)

Are you one of those people who are always tripping over things?
Constantly.

Yup. Singing, drama, musical theatre, dance, guitar... after high school i want to continue learning what i'm passionate about, nevt just about my degree.

Maybe. But i hate awkward situations. Besides, i think nothing is awkward if you think it's not awkward.

Do you prefer fast food or “proper”, restaurant style food?
As long as it's tasty, i dont care

Would you ever go out with someone shorter than you?
Nope. But i wouldn't mind same height. (RL you can say no, you're not THAT tall...)

Is your mum the type to pressure you to have grandchildren?
She doesn't pressure me, bu she always says things like "your kids are going to..." or "when i play with your kids..."

Do you have any traits that you inherited from your parents?
Alot haha. Personality, intrests, physical features... I wouldn't be the person that i am without my rents :)

Are you still in touch with people you went to primary school with?

Lol my best friend in primary is still mine now :)

Do you like Sushi?
one of my favourite foods :)

Are you the type to get easily embarrassed in public?
It doesn't matter where i am exactly, it just matters who i'm with. I don't usually care about stupid things i do if i'm surrounded by no one who knows me.

Once i walked into a pole at the station, but i didn't care even though everyone around me was hysterical because no one i knew was there.

Do you have to reply to texts straight away, or are you happy to just leave them for a while?
Aha... depends on who it's from and at what time of night... usually it's late or i don't see it till its late, so i'm reluctant to reply...

Have any of your friends gotten engaged recently?
my aunt did. does that count?

Lol probably not. I'd just hang up. But i'd love to say that.

Yup, so simple.

Do you think you can love someone without trusting them?
No. Trust is important in a relationship.

If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?
Fly. I can sell my story to the press and make a million bucks. Plus who wouldn't want to be able to fly?

Also flight saves a lot on airfare, which is what i would do if i had a million bucks, besides building an orphanage/school in Africa.

How long have you known the last person you spoke on the phone to?
Hrm, my mum's friend. For about 2 years? she's amazing, i love her.

:)

What’s the last picture message you received on your phone?

Autumn.

Can you handle the truth?
Yes. Doesn't mean i like it though.

Are there some songs you can’t listen to because they remind you of someone?
Nope.

Do you hate anyone?
Not really.

Do you think someone is thinking about you right now?
Don't think anyone is up.

Would you have a career you can’t stand if you made a lot of money?
Probably. I'd just make a lot of money and then retire early.

If a random person asked how old you are, would you tell them?
Course.

Do you ever have days when you just want to stay in bed all day long?
All day, every day.

Food adventure :)

Went out with my sister for funzies.

Yesterday at Donut king they had the free coffee deal thing, so obviously, being supremely asian and coffee loving, had to go and check it out.

I took a picture for the blog of the row of coffee cups advertising free coffee. I heard about it on the radio. ... love radio :)

Actually, in terms of coffee, the coffe was really nice. Got a latte.

CONSIDERING IT WAS FREE. :D

Hehe. I was so happy with my free coffee. And it came in a really pretty glass, and i was so excited, cause i usually get coffee to take away, and Gloria Jeans doesn't do glasses...

I should drink coffee in cafes more often.

Not that that's a hipster thing and i seem to be doing them a lot more. I just happen to like pretty glass cups when i drink things. Although maybe wearing sweaters and knit jumpers and glasses doesn't dispell the hipster image.

I don't want to be hipster. I like sci fi and mainstream music. Sort of. Actually i hate mainstream music, mostly. Like dubstep and stuff, because it annoys me. Really, i much prefer alternative rock, or british music. Or even french music. I'm trying to learn how to sing l'accordinaste by edith piaf for drama, but i'm dramatically lacking in vocal power haha. But music like lady gaga and RAR RAR RAR RAR RARARAR non stop, i just don't get it. Lyrically it's like a baby wrote it.

Back on the topic of free coffee :D

My sister wanted to take the photo when i started to try and take a photo of the glass haha. she's such a good photographer yeah? She makes me look halfway decent lul. Except for the one on the 3rd where i yawned HAHAHAHA. And then she was laughing at me so i stuck my tounge out.

Like when i went to that cafe in parra with tuesday, that was a really awesome shop, with THE best (and quite possible most expensive) soy chai latte i have had to date. I dream of that chai latte. It was brilliant. And the store was so cute too. :)

Anyway after my coffee with my sis we went and got late lunch with my mum and bro and the had  SPECIAL AFTERNOON LUNCH DEAL. Which is awesome, cause that means it's cheap and a relatively small(er) bowl. (because chinese food bowls are HUGE and i can't finish them on my own usually. Unless i haven't eaten all day and it's like 8 in the evening. Like that time after work experience hahahahaha. MASSIVE BOWL OF PHO, gone in like 15 minutes. I kid, wasn't actually 15, but it was ridiculously fast for a massif bowl.

Oh, and i had a cup of hot soy milk :D

Now here's something that i always find confusing. How come white people soy milk takes so different to chinese soy milk? Who knows. Something that i have been pondering alot recently.

Also something that has been going on alot recently is my sibling's obession with L4D2. Or for you non-gamers, left for dead 2. A zombie game with lots of shooting. I freaked them out by whimpering in a corner in the same manner as a 'witch', which is apparently some super hard and scary female zombie that is extremely difficult to kill.

And last night, my brother was walking up the stairs when he bumped into my mum's handbag hanging on the banister and he screamed, cause he thought it was a zombie. :D

Aren't my siblings totally adorable?

Also skype with webcam is an interesting experience.

And i think personality books are stupid.

Just saying.

Busy last few days... OF DOCTOR WHO

It's currently thunder storming. I hate thunderstorms. They make me cringe. And kind of curl into a ball hugging my insufferable brother who becomes slightly less insufferable during the frightened period.

This Easter I have been not doing much, other than bible studies, cleaning and WATCHING DOCTOR WHO.

Gotta love Doctor who :)

Speaking of doctor who, in the last few days when i actually left the house (so basically wednesday, thursday) i saw a lot of doctor who stuff which made me go nuts. And then want to marathon it, so i watched a whole season worth of dr who. :)

I can just hear rellikami telling me to watch Scrubs instead. oh wells.

At any rate, the stuff i found was really awesome :) and i took pictures too.

Which i bet made the store owners think im mad, a teenage girl crouching on the ground giggling to herself looking at the doctor who stuff.

Oh this one was awesome. It's a lego set of all 11 doctors so far, with their clothing styles and particular screwdrivers/umbrella for the 7th doctor (he was a weird one. though the 5th doctor's coustume will always be most memorable to me)

At any rate this was so cool, i was squealing in the aisle. AND IT'S LEGO, so you can stand them up one lego tardis' and things.]

And they come with their own stands. Too awesome.

---

This is a lego rendition of season 6, episode 12, closing time. :)

When the doctor has to prevent Craig Owens from becoming a Cyberman, the Cybermen forget to contend with the power of human emotion.

And Stormageddon, dark overlord of all. :D Cutest baby out.

This one is quite possibly my dream item. Or at least on the list of it. But it's expensive, so i'll probs buy it as a gift to myself for finishing HSC after i get a job :) or the next item, which is as awesome, if not more. But this one is actually useful.

This is a sound effect darlek with projects the time. FRICKING AWESOME. It can be used as an alarm clock, so you'd wake up pretty quickly with threats of extermination. At least i would.

I forgot to take a photo of this one while i was in the comic book store, but this is from season 3, episode 9, the family of blood.

This fob watch is more than an ordinary fob watch. It disguises any time lord as a human being, hiding away their true identity and giving them a fake one istead. It also physically changes each time lord to become, anatomy wise, human as well. Which means no two hearts and all.

So really i could walk around with this and pretend that i'm not even human, i'm just a TIME LORD IN DISGUISE AND I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER.

----

So besides ranting about doctor who and watching doctor who, i have done other things so far this holidays. Such as playing games.

One thing i have played ALOT recently (and ML will contest) is Scramble with friends.

Which is like boggle. I think i suck at it, but apparently i'm not bad.

Anyway i was offended when LOTR was not considered a word. (the red means it's not a definined word in the dictionary)

If you want, afterwards you can tell me any words you find. The rules are you have to be able to reach each letter by one of the eight that surround it. So like a sudoku box. For example, hurt is a word.
---

Also lately i have been walking aorund and been seeing this everywhere. cross = love.

whoever's doing it, i think they're brilliant. :)

---

Oh. Went to city on thursday. Played pool and i actually won twice, with me and OW, the amazing noob pair that actually won. :D

Incredibly satisfying. :)

---

Also couldn't help but laugh when i saw this, because i do it like ALL THE TIME. seriously.

ok.

Bye kids

Easter :)

Here's something i read today, hard to swallow but good:

the dilemma: man the sinner owes God, on account of sin, what he cannot repay, and unless he repays it he cannot be saved.

There is no one who CAN make this (payment) but God himself.

But noone OUGHT to make it except man (cos we are the ones who have stolen from him by sinning).

Therefore it is necessary for one who is God-man to make this payment, since no one can do it except one who is trully God, and no one OUGHT to make it except one who is truly man.

how great our sins must be that only a God can repay it. And how perfect is Jesus sacrifice- so much that it can pay for all the sins of history.

This Easter, I hope you guys remember that Easter can change your life. Don't let it just change your day.

Happy Easter everyone :)
