recently

i haven't been blogging very regularly. ehe. i feel like my life is too boring to write about something that happenned every day, so collations of days seem helpful.

---

Wednesday

$2.50 moochi! The line was quite insane though. I couldn't even fit it in one photo. lol.

The wait was an hour long! But it's worth it, i think. I mean, retail price was like $6, so tis more than half price! I really like froyo.

But it was super cold to eat, cause it was rainy and windy :(

I actually wanted to get the coconut and green tea flavour, but they had run out when i got to the line, so i changed to biscotti and watermelon instead. :p safe choice aha.

---

Also, i showed this illustration someone sent on me snapchat to my sister, and she laughed cause it's so legit.

My sister dubbed it "100% accurate." Which is slightly depressing. But kinda true. I have a very empty, vague kinda grumpy appearance when I'm just woken up or still super sleepy. :(

Thursday

Total leaf carpet at UNSW today. It was windy and leaves were everywhere! Though i kinda like that about autumn. But i hate the rain.

fallen brown carpet
not quite a cracking sound
because of the rain.

I kinda made this reverse gif cause i was bored while waiting for my tute. I just liked the leaves looking like they're magnetised to my foot. ehehehe.

I'm really silly.

Went out with the girls for dinner! was so excited about this like ALL DAY aha.

I think i ate too much :/ too much food everywhere!

But then i only ate plain bread... no food at the house right now, i'm just too poor... lol.

But it was really cool, cause i wanted KFC before i went, but i didn't want to buy it cause i have no money... sniff... but we got fried chicken anyway, so i sated my friend chicken desires :) And it was nice! Like kinda spicy, like the way my grandma makes it. Probably because all malaysians season it the same or something, i dunno.

I think Laksa Fried Chicken is the best. It actually tastes amazing :D

Also, Roti Dessert :) I love roti. I noted they added sugar to theirs to make it sweeter and more carmelised on the outside. Probably to help keep it in the cone shape, instead of being all flaky and hot and collasping on itself, yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

food of my childhood lol.

There's a video of my sister's like 3rd birthday party, where my dad comes to film me, and he catches me on film with a spring roll in my mouth, fried chicken drumstick in one hand and a roti in the other. And all i do is smile sheepishly and the camera and leg it.

Seriously, my grandma makes the best foods. I always eat too much when she cooks.

I was really happy to see the girls today :) long talk ahaha :)

ok time to stop procrastinating and do tute work :p

wibbly wobbly timey wimey (picture heavy)

(Didn't publish this yestrday, so tacking today at the bottom aha...)

Also this is very experimental cause I'm using my phone and the updated blogger app that allows photos! So let's see what happens eh? :D

THURSDAY - Pop up store and Newtown madness.

(8:30am)

Sitting at the bus stop in costume watching the bus go by.

I think I might be late to the opening, which means I woke up early all excitedly and put on costume possibly for no reason.

Oh well.

As I sit here, I realise I have an itchy spot on my foot. But I'm wearing boots so I can't scratch it.

#firstworldproblems

---

(3:00pm)

Ah it was so worth skipping lectures to go :D

The line was really long, and we got there like exactly 5 minutes before the opening. Was hoping to get there earlier, but I wasn't willing to go alone AHAHA...

But it was pretty crazy! The line went like at least 5 meters back from the door when we got there and it didn't stop growing. I swear, the line wa longer after we left than before we got in haha.

They only allowed a limited number of people inside the store at a time, so we had to wait another like hour and a half before we could go in.

They gave us chocolate TARDIS cake! (It was super tasty too.)

But there were some pretty cool people in line with pretty cool costumes, so it was pretty cool talking to fellow whovians.

I think the coolest was the weeping angel outfit.

She was pretty freaky.

I ended up buying two tshirts (one for me and one for a present) and a baker scarf :D

The scarf was the equivalent of two tshirts :( super expensive!

But whatever. #noregrets.

Went exploring with Jin after. Newtown seems to be a hipster paradise. Everything is "antique" or "unique" or "vintage" or "handmade Eco-friendly" or "recycled" or "reimagined"

They have the coolest stuff.

We stumbled into this amazing antiques store which no joke had an entire wall of antique cameras.

They also remade old vintage equipment. Like this old tv turned mirror.

I wish I was filthy rich, because I could buy almost everything in Newtown.

My entire house would look like it's from the 1940s if I had a choice.

We also ate Oporto (yummy) and had a sleepy bus ride home :)

Oh someone rang the doorbell.

---

8:00pm

It was the postman with a package. He brought my stockings ehehe.

I think I'm a bit too addicted to snapchat. Also snapchat is not entirely healthy.

My favourite snaps & amazing drawing abilities (I know screen shotting, haha)

Hehe

FRIDAY - econ exam and baby sitting

Well, exam was terrible.

The baby sitting bit was quite fun though :)

Although I have to say, putting the kids to sleep made me very sleepy too :p even though it was like 8:30 HAHA.

Looking forward to parties and fun :D

Goodnight :)

why hello there

well so much has been happening and i don't even remember the last time i wrote something here.

I think the last time i wrote something was before i went to malaysia. Which was like (feels like) years ago.

Now we're all uni students, living the uni days life, (possibly) partying it up and (less likely) studying hard.

Also, I moved out! Temporarily. I'm staying at a friend's place till her brother gets back from Hong Kong cause her dad doesn't want her living alone.

Actually, she's really nice, and cute, but she doesn't know how to cook. So I'm kind of the house mates unoffical cook. lol.

But she takes amazing photos! She took a really nice one for me when i came back from ANIMANIA in costume.

OMG ANIMANIA WAS SO MUCH FUN. Although it turns out i suck at dancing compared to the king/queen of dance.

Breaking out those traditional Earth Ballads. (HAHA CASSANDRA)

Speaking of Doctor Who, OMG I LOVE CLARA. SHE'S SO PRETTY AND SMART AD CLEVER AND ASDFGHJKL AWESOME.

And Matt Smith is such a cutie. SO CUTE.

I'm really excited for Doctor Who Anniversary. I wish they brought back eccly as well as tenny. :( BUT AT LEAST THEY HAVE JACK. (one can tell where my values lie, ne?)

How are you guys finding uni? I'm really enjoying uni - aka the ramen days - but i kinda miss school. :( Having all my friends in the one place is really convenient. And now i realise how completely ANTI SOCIAL AND HERMIT I AM. I have made like next to no new friends, except for some dudes in my tutes. And according to my friends, they just want to *ahem* get friendly. :(

I WANT FEMALE FRIENDS. WHY DOES MY TUTES HAVE NO FEMALES. COMMERCE HAS LOTS OF GIRLS.

It's so sad! Acutally tbh during lectures I'm scared to sit with a bunch of girls because they're all already friends and it's hard to enter their friend circle.

Why do girls travel in packs? They're never alone. It's hard to approach girls in groups.

haha last time i was telling this to my church friend and she said i sounded like a desperate guy at the bar. She then told me to go and ask desperate guys at the bar for advice on how to approach women.

I think that would go down well, don't you? :p

Hope you guys enjoy mid sem break!

Sister luncheon

My sis skipped school today. What a bad kid.

She woke me up at 10 and was all like "LET'S GO OUT FOR LUNCH!!!!"

To which the just-woken-up-semi-zombified me replied "mffeepenohpecombarkter"

Which roughly translated to "im sleeping now. Please come back later"

So she said "I'll be back at 11"

And I rolled over and continued my nightmarish dream about my English advanced paper, where all the HSC supervisors decided to leave halfway through and there was like no more paper and I had to write my entire short story (I used 5 booklets) on one side of an a5 sheet of paper. Futhermore, on the other side of the paper was math questions, and if I wanted to get the paper I need to solve it, and we only had like 10minutes left and all I was thinking was "OMFG IM GOING TO FAIL ENGLISH AND THEN I WILL FAIL HSC AND MY ATAR WILL BE BAD"

And then I dreamt the ATAR came out and JJ got 99.7 and I got 92 and I cried.

I'm very frightened for ATAR results :/ Have you guys had any post-traumatic HSC nightmares?

And then my sister came back cause it was 11.

And she was looking at all this like kpop stuff on my computer and I was like "whzxtjlsatnqhuyeroonyputer?"

Which translates to "what's that? Why are you on my computer?"

And then she proceeds to tell me how it's so amazing, this chick who's been in the industry for so many years, like 15 years or something, and she's so old now.

And I'm like "how old?"

And she's like "26"

so she started training when she was like 11.

WHICH IS SO RIDICULOUS.

HOW CAN YOU START TRAINING FOR SOMETHING  AT THE AGE OF 11? ESPECIALLY FOR SOMETHING LIKE A MUSIC INDUSTRY?

It's just so wrong on so many levels.

---

so we went out for lunch, and then we went to this Korean restaurant in Eastwood. AND IT WAS SUPER SPICY!

but they gave us nice sides :)

Look at my derp. And then my sister is so pretty :p

Also as we were leaving there was this old mando man, he looked about 80, who had an accident of some kind. There was heaps of blood and his wife was crying and I just stood there and kind of wished I was remotely helpful.

Yeah...

op-shopping :)

So today we went up to Kensington to buy stuff for my mum (house stuff) and i went all drooly over the various baking equipment they had there.

One of the suprisingly quite few reasons i want to move out is the excitement at having my own kitchen to bake in and cook in and fill with fabulous cooking utensils that will allow me to make fabulous non-asian foods ie european, namely french. Although i will definately own a wok and a rice-cooker lol.

The only reasons i want to move out is no limit to what time i can come home, travel times thus less transport fees and more space cos no joke my room is a matchbox. though the lists of why i don't want to move out is limited to two reasons: Can't afford it and (sometimes) can't be bothered. Or even i think i'll get lonely.

But back to my dream kitchen.

I know it's rather feminine and stereotypical and most things I'm against but the fact remains that the first thing any woman assesses when she takes a sticky beak around someone's house is how nice the kitchen is. Doesn't matter how big the house is, or how nice it is. Even if the place looks like a dump, if you've got a large kitchen with marbled benchtops, stove, massive oven, large fridge and freezer and large pantry, the price of your house will go up considerably. Not to mention I will be drooling.

If you're wondering about the marble benchtops, it's because you can do anything to marble and it won't stuff it. As long as you keep it clean, you can even eat on it. It makes a perfect cutting board and rolling board for pastries and doughs, my main reason for the desire for marble. Just imagine, not having to worry about your tarte pastry going off your cutting board because the whole table is a frickin cutting board :3 Ah the pastries you can make!  the cookies! the breads! even your own pasta/noodles! yes the marvels of marble.

dat drool-worthy kitchen. Two ovens! The luxury!
Quite frankly, after November the 2nd perhaps a lot of what will be going up are is a document of my cooking adventures. I am really excited about working with french foods :) probably following this cooking blog does not help. She wants me to go back to france and move to Bordeaux and marry some french guy and have french children and grow up near a fruit farm and take the kids to pick champignons and make gateaux and Escargots à la Bordelaise every day. damn.

---

Anyway, back to the shopping. Since we were in Kensington, my mum and dad wanted to go visit UNSW, since that's where they studied (commerce and med) and met. (cue the ngawwwwwwwws.)

And when we drove in my dad was like "where did all the new buildings come from???" and my mum was like "well it has been 20 years..."

Then we drove around campus for a bit and they pointed stuff out eg "look its the roundhouse! Alysha, as an arts student that where you'll be all the time, bumming around and being useless."

And then my dad turned a corner and was disappointed. He told us "there used to be a wall here with plants. When i was your age your yehyeh (grandpa) took me around UNSW to reminisce too (he did civil engineering). And at this spot, your mama (grandma) got out of the car and stole some plants and then we went home."

And i just cracked up.

 hehe.

---

Anyway, so we went walking around after that to find lunch and after lunch we passed a st vinnies where i saw this

eccly!!!!
And i kinda went ballastic, went straight in, picked it up and then opened it.

And it was bigger on the inside.

you will notice my ukulele in the corner. ignore that, when i got home i photographed it on my extremely messy table.

At any rate LOOK AT MY SEXY BOX SET IT EVEN COMES WITH SPECIAL FEATURES AND DOCTOR WHO CONFIDENTIAL!!!!

Also we can now watch it with subtitles. My mum can finially understand what they're saying; sometimes they speak too fast and then she has no idea what's going on :3

Also, it was SO CHEAP ON $11, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm so happy :3

Also got a portsmans check skirt $15, a red wool sweater $8 and eldest (eragon series) for $4. (only had brisingr, missing eragon and inheritence) :D

Also, got a formal dress. $45. SCORE!

---

Also, today my church handed me my HSC pack, which is a clear pencil case full of lollies and a little booklet thing with messages for us :) And everyone's is personalised as well . :3 so nice of them :D

---

I decided to do AND FINISH NaNoWriMo this year :) I've even got an idea from a weird dream i had. So I made an account and everything :) Hopefully this yead i can do it :D

---

Anyway, i really ought to be working, but i'm not. So i shall.

Bye!

Going once, going twice...

Lots of things have happened recently, but I haven't written much for a while...

It was UNSW open day last saturday. Was really quite good, I got to play quidditch! :D I was a chaser, it was kinda cool. We played against the uni team and we tied, 30 each, by the end of the game. We didn't score any points though. (the snitch is only worth 30 points in this game haha, to prevent unfair advantages for catching the snitch.)

UNSW was really tiring, actually. Having to walk up and down all those stairs... :p

But it was fun :) maybe I will seriously consider it for a uni, I dunno.

Sunday was my dad's birthday dinner night. We went for Korean BBQ buffet. I felt slightly ill afterwards... Ended up eating way too much lolololol. But it was really nice :)

Also, we had art show and HSC drama night on monday and Tuesday respectively. It was cool.

Also, I was sold for PA auctions today... Although I only went for $75, collectively our prefect group broke the $3000 mark :D double what we originally aimed for. :) it was awesome.

Also, i had amazing sugar cane juice and milk pudding today :)

Hoping that tomorrow i won't be made to do too many horrible stuff... Haha.

OOOFT NO MORE WRITTEN EXAMS.

YAYERS!

although i'm still not free askjasdghaosiunvaowisgn cause i have drama and ext2, but hey! i don't have to see  stupid exam centre vibe anymore. I swear, that room was so much less menacing for trivia night :p

anyway, i basically didn't study for legal, so i think i did pretty badly lol. I just made up things for my two essays. Oh well. At least i sort of answered the question. Maybe.

I did pretty badly in 2nd drama essay though. ergh.

Oh well.

So instead of thinking of that, or my ext2, or my drama prac, i shall instead think of cool happy thoughts, like what i will do after exams!

For example, i could watch doctor who and read manga again, insteading of studying.

Oh wait, i'm doing that anyway.

King of hard work!

Not.

At any rate, i'm looking forward to Live Aid, but i have a bit of a feeling i will suck haha.

here's some amazing girl i found today

I really liked her arrangement, it was really cool :D

So yes.
---

ALSO THERE IS A MASSIVE SALE AT TYPO, IT'S SO GOOD.

I really wanted to buy the $10 lantern set, i've wanted it for so long... alas i have no cash. aha.

It's ok. I'll get 3 jobs after i do hsc. Then i can online shop as much as i want. >:D

ETSY DOCTOR WHO MERCH HERE I COME!

I have become quite the Etsy addict. I check it periodically every 3 or so hours.

Unfortunately, all the people that appear to make good doctor who/nerd stuff either live in England or Ameria.

Are there no arty geeks in Australia?????????

Anyway here's some of the cool stuff i found.

I  know, I have weird tastes.

Have fun guys!

Food adventure :)

Went out with my sister for funzies.

Yesterday at Donut king they had the free coffee deal thing, so obviously, being supremely asian and coffee loving, had to go and check it out.

I took a picture for the blog of the row of coffee cups advertising free coffee. I heard about it on the radio. ... love radio :)

Actually, in terms of coffee, the coffe was really nice. Got a latte.

CONSIDERING IT WAS FREE. :D

Hehe. I was so happy with my free coffee. And it came in a really pretty glass, and i was so excited, cause i usually get coffee to take away, and Gloria Jeans doesn't do glasses...

I should drink coffee in cafes more often.

Not that that's a hipster thing and i seem to be doing them a lot more. I just happen to like pretty glass cups when i drink things. Although maybe wearing sweaters and knit jumpers and glasses doesn't dispell the hipster image.

I don't want to be hipster. I like sci fi and mainstream music. Sort of. Actually i hate mainstream music, mostly. Like dubstep and stuff, because it annoys me. Really, i much prefer alternative rock, or british music. Or even french music. I'm trying to learn how to sing l'accordinaste by edith piaf for drama, but i'm dramatically lacking in vocal power haha. But music like lady gaga and RAR RAR RAR RAR RARARAR non stop, i just don't get it. Lyrically it's like a baby wrote it.

Back on the topic of free coffee :D

My sister wanted to take the photo when i started to try and take a photo of the glass haha. she's such a good photographer yeah? She makes me look halfway decent lul. Except for the one on the 3rd where i yawned HAHAHAHA. And then she was laughing at me so i stuck my tounge out.

Like when i went to that cafe in parra with tuesday, that was a really awesome shop, with THE best (and quite possible most expensive) soy chai latte i have had to date. I dream of that chai latte. It was brilliant. And the store was so cute too. :)

Anyway after my coffee with my sis we went and got late lunch with my mum and bro and the had  SPECIAL AFTERNOON LUNCH DEAL. Which is awesome, cause that means it's cheap and a relatively small(er) bowl. (because chinese food bowls are HUGE and i can't finish them on my own usually. Unless i haven't eaten all day and it's like 8 in the evening. Like that time after work experience hahahahaha. MASSIVE BOWL OF PHO, gone in like 15 minutes. I kid, wasn't actually 15, but it was ridiculously fast for a massif bowl.

Oh, and i had a cup of hot soy milk :D

Now here's something that i always find confusing. How come white people soy milk takes so different to chinese soy milk? Who knows. Something that i have been pondering alot recently.

Also something that has been going on alot recently is my sibling's obession with L4D2. Or for you non-gamers, left for dead 2. A zombie game with lots of shooting. I freaked them out by whimpering in a corner in the same manner as a 'witch', which is apparently some super hard and scary female zombie that is extremely difficult to kill.

And last night, my brother was walking up the stairs when he bumped into my mum's handbag hanging on the banister and he screamed, cause he thought it was a zombie. :D

Aren't my siblings totally adorable?

Also skype with webcam is an interesting experience.

And i think personality books are stupid.

Just saying.

Maths and mayhem

Ok so today was weird.

After the 3 hour long maths exam, which was not that bad in comparison to how traumatizing the chem exam will be, I hung around at school trying to study for chem.

Which didn't happen. Ended up talking to a yr11 drama accelerate (which puts her in my drama class and she's insane gun) about doctor who and obese racist albino rabbits that eat chocolate and weetbix and fat cats and chickens that eat McNuggets. CANNIBAL CHICKENS!

I laughed so much I cried.

Then the real adventure began.

I forgot my phone today, because I was busy last minute looking at notes and I forgot to pick up my phone. At any rate this was bad because I had to pick up my mother.

For those of you who know me well, you'd say "alysha, when did you learn to drive? You know you can't drive alone on L's right? Even though you're old enough to have your P's by now, you still haven't gone to the RTA have you?" (Mr Anderson is forcibly taking me down to the RTA in the holidays lol. He has his P's and he's 4 days younger than me :p)

And as an explanation as to why I must retrieve my mother, it is because she had to fix her car, so she is left lifeless.

Usually she drives to the station, and then catches a train to her workplace. But with no car, she was clueless as how to navigate the system.

My dad dropped her off in the morning, but she had no other way of getting back other than bus.

Thus I had to trek to Epping from baulko to fetch my mum and bring her home.

Anyway, when I got on the bus, I had a vague idea that M61 goes to Epping.

Apparently, as I learnt when I got on the bus, it doesn't. It goes to the city.

And I caught an express. LOL.

So somehow, I ended up at wynard today. And I had to catch a train back to Epping.

And the train was delayed.

Leaving the school at 1:00, I got to Epping at 3:15.

If I had caught a normal school bus, I would have gotten there at 3:30.

LOL

Funny times.

Anyway, to chem!
