movie night

Haven't participated in a family movie night for a while, with HSC and all. We watched Snow White and the Huntsman.

There aren't very many movies that make me feel really really excited and also disappointed. Phantom of the Opera was one. This is the other one. I'm sincerely hoping Les Miserables will not be another one.

I just felt that Kristen couldn't act. She has no change in facial expressions at all, and her face was just... dopey. DOPEY. It frustrated me, especially since Charlize was soooooooo good. The plot, the cinematography, the sets, even the costume designs were all brill, but her acting is so wooden! ARGH.

I don't want to be a Kristen hater, but it's out there. I've seen enough on 9gag. But I seriously think she really brought the movie down. I just couldn't take her seriously, I didn't connect with her character, she didn't create emotion. Hell I felt bad for the Queen more than Snow White. And that end scene? Gosh. It was frustrating.

The thing is, she actually doesn't stop pulling the 2nd face. For everything.

Charlize was brilliant though. Gosh she's gorgeous. And such conviction. The costumes she wore, they worked perfectly for her. Such a costume could threaten to wear the actor, but i guess that's what happens when you were a model before an oscar winning actress.

Perhaps it's kind of harsh to be highly criticaly of Kristen when the counter lead is an Oscar winner. The only big movie she's shot is the Twilight series (i haven't watched it yet) so i dunno how good she is. But really, all the other relatively newbie actors who just came out with one feature film (Thor and Pirates 3) were brilliant too, so i can't say much. I dunno. She just frustrated me.

Perhaps if she was an actual new comer and wasn't in Twilight, it wouldn't have got such a negative reaction.

But I still probably would be frustrated by her lack of facial expression.

My mum told me she slept with the director. I just kind of blinked in shock.

I read the japanese manga version of Battle Royale, which is what some people claim to be the original Hunger Games.

I have to say, they have their similarities, but they're both actually quite different. Hunger Games is way more political in my opinion. (SPOILER ALERT) I mean, with the extreme focus on humanity and leadership and that age old concept "absolute power corrupts absolutely." Where as I found Battle Royale more to be an exploration on humanity and what people could do when pushed, and the animalistic, brutal tendancies that are buried inside all of us.

I like them both, for different reasons.

(You can see how much I've been studying right?)

---

Nanowrimo Sydney Western Area Kick off is tommorrow in Hyde Park! Also the zombie walk lol. Is anyone going to that? I would but I'm not let out of the house. Apparently I'll study at home. Well I probably wouldn't study if I was let out of the house either so meh.

Have you guys sorted out plots? I've sort of worked mine out, and developed two characters. Ish. I hope it turns out ok this year haha. Other years i ended up hating it so much I just stopped working on it. Have you guys chosen/worked out stuff already? I'm excited!

My sister is a SISTAR fangirl.

Though i have to admit, when she showed me the video even my heart skipped a bit.

Creative...

So I read this NY times article online today, and all I could think of Belonging and Navigating the Global. Could use as related for either one.

Read something by the Ruse dota crew. I think I'm dramatically effected by it. They have intense imaginations.

Also i'm kinda pissed because i forgot to save my 6th edit of my navglobal essay so i'm back to editing it again. for the 7th time.

I've been listening to ipod on shuffle and stuff i haven't heard in a long time came up. Like all the jap music i was obsessed with when i was in year 8and9.

And amazingly i still remembered all the words, and i was singing along.

EL, remember diamond tree? i still remember most of the dance.

yay hare hare yukai!

tbh sometimes, when i'm home along and it comes on shuffle, i would get up and dance it. (SO SAD I KNOW)

but if my sister's in the room i'll just move my arms.

Actually this reminds me of the time when RC was watching the series cause me and michelle were watching it, and he stood up at the front of english and did the mikuru beam LOLOLOL

mi-mi-mi-MIKURU BEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!

Also, my TARDIS cup can hold a remarkable amount of liquid. Must be because it's bigger on the inside :D

 I'm so lame.

 Anyway, leaving

Shojo manga continued

ANYWAY i'll finish this list cause i should have done it ages ago then i'll write something actually about the new year...

beginning the year tying up lose ends. fair enough.

---

TYPICAL PLOTS IN A SHOJO MANGA.

These are EVERYWHERE. In almost any manga you read, you are guaranteed to find at least one of these occurrences. don't laugh at how ridiculous they are, i didn't make it up ok?

1. an accidental kiss
In the shojo manga world, this happens more often than me not understanding what is going on in chemistry class (which unfortunately is almost every lesson.) As the name suggests, an accidental is kiss is where the two characters either move or fall over just to hit lips with each other entirely by chance. For example, one might turn around in a crowded train, fall forward onto some random who just happens to be a handsome boy and accidental lock lips with him. Whoops. But hey, it's a pleasant surprise right? Not for everyone who saw it coming though...

2. A school cultural festival.
Specially mentioned for the category "school life," this event, I guarantee, will happen in almost every 2nd manga you read. Or almost all. Pretty much. A school cultural festival, however, does not even celebrate traditional Japanese culture as you would expect it too. Rather, it has cool stands like maid cafes and animal cosplay cafes and class plays where the main girl character dresses up as something ridiculously cute-Alice in wonderland etc a princess (SWITCH GIRL) Actually, any type of cosplay event. Because cosplay brings out the best in people. (Y)
ie. perfect legs, cute faces and wonderful opportunities for fan service.

3. A school trip
Most often to place like kyoto or nara, cause all schools are in tokyo, this is because, apparently, "you loose control on a school trip and develop relationships", and thus it is the perfect time to confess your love. HOT SPRINGS, hiking where the main girl char gets lost in the foliage cos their teachers in shojo manga world are so useless, temples and praying for marriage/red string of fate

4. The main character gets saved from being raped.
Tired of how your relationship with your boyfriend seems to be getting worse? How he seems to not be paying attention to you? Or did you just have a fight with him? Never fear, your (not-so)friendly neighbourhood rapist is here! So just as you're about to go home, picture this; it's dark, it's late. You're all alone in the streets. Recently, you've been hearing on the news a rapist is around, but don't worry, nothing will happen to you! NOT. suddenly, out of nowhere, an ugly fat guy with lots of pimples pounces! it's the rapist! and obviously, you have no strength to fight him off. As he is about to pull your clothes off, a tear runs down your cheek as you cry out for someone-kun, your beloved boyfriend who you'd much rather be spending time with. But don't worry, dum-dah-dah-dah! Someone-kun arrives, and thoroughly punches the rapist out, threatening him never to come near you again (forget about calling the police, that's not romantic, that's just sensible). In tears, he asks you if you're all right. shaking by your experience, you can only nod, too scared to even stand. He sweeps you into his arms, and you have a passionate kiss, relationship fixed, because all guys have nightingale syndrome or something.

5.First date
And this is a HUGE issue, causing much drama and indecisiveness, such as "what outfit do i wear?" "how can i impress him" "i don't want to embarrass him" with usually him/her being late to meet up, but that's ok because waiting shows how much you love each other.

actually this probably happens in real life, but hey, i guess romance works like that. Some parts have to be true. although the cause for lateness is usually late wake ups, or something unfortunate like preparing younger brothers for school, doing family laundry or missing buses.

6. Kiss in the rain
Again, an adorable cliche that probably happens in most forms of romance comedies. Don't know how a day can start so beautifully sunny for the main to wear a scanty summer dress then end in a thunderstorm where the mains huddle up in a park/church and hide and come out when it drizzles and share a romantic kiss.

7. possessive pets with personalities that hate humans especially girlfriends/boyfriends
Not to mention, causing embarrassing issues like pulling up/dow skirts/shirts/dresses etc to expose underwear. And why are the pets so possessive anyway? Although some dogs are insane (cough roger's rapist dog) it's not because they love their master sooooooo much they see anyone else as a threat/ Its just a bit stupid.

8. visiting the boyfriend/girlfriends parents who embarrass said boyfriend/girlfriend with baby photos
Although I honestly have to say, if a 13 year old brought their girlfriend home after a long date of amusement parks and ice creams, to meet the parents, i rather thought the response would be "WTF YOU'RE 13 YEARS OLD AND YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND???" rather than "awww she's sooo cute, you should see my boy's baby photos where he's in the bath and he's naked, isn't that soooo adorable???" Seriously. Who does this? My parents would probably sit the guy down and start interviewing him. "how old are you?" "what do you believe in?" "what political party do you support?"
"what do you want to do when you grow up?" "What were your yearly results?" Not this "awwwww you're sooo adorable together! Did you have fun on your date??? OooohAlysha's naked baby photos???" ... Actually thinking about this, I'm kind of glad they wouldn't do that.

side note: why does everyone have these naked-baby-in-the-bath-photos??? seriously. Where did this custom begin? how? when people were like "i have a baby, it's naked and in the bath, i should take pictures of it and risk damaging my camera through water damage for the sake of snapping some awfully embarrassing yet potentially adorable photos." ???? who thinks like that?

9. Love interest tutors girl to do well in exams
Because obviously, the main love interest is so perfect in every way, that when he finds out his girlfriend is getting 20's in her exams and has to stay behind for summer school so they can't spend any time together, he frantically uses his top-of-the-school study style to immediately push her up to 90% or higher.

And this study regime usually involves late nights at his house, late nights at her house, falling asleep while being tutored, etc etc etc. And of course, the 'rewards' for doing well in practise papers; the kisses on the cheek, on the lips on the forehead, on the hand, literally anything. Except food of course. Because rewards always involves kissing. or slightly more than that. whatever.

10. "i'll definitely get you to fall in love with me!"
I find this quote a bit ridiculous. Usually at the beginning of a manga where a class clown/playboy/gangster type comes on to the protagonist (not the slut, cause that would just make her jump on him lol) and she refuses his advances. At which point, he usually either does a dramatic pose or pushes her against the wall and cries "i'll definitely get you to fall in love with me!" Supposedly this is supposed to display his ultimate sincerity and effort towards her, but quite frankly i think it's more demanding, potentially stalkerish and very childish.

But that's how Japanese women like their men.

11. Get kidnapped by a bunch of angry guys for angering them in a stupid way
Eg. You're in a shopping mall, and you see a bunch of gangsters trying to steal something. Being the good, noble, stupid person you are, you tell this large group of scary looking, muscular, gangster-like males to shove off, saving the store owner maybe $10 bucks, of which he probably gets shoplifted everyday, since his security is so bad. The group, infuriated, move away. You think you've saved the day, problem, solved. You walk away.

Nup.

Because suddenly out of the blue while you're walking down the street the same group of gangster guy grab you and decide to 'give you trouble', usually in the form of naked photos or something equally ridiculous. Where then the boyfriend or the soon-to-be boyfriend will come in and save her.

Discussing this with michelle, she correctly pointed out that these guys could potentially get life sentences due to aggravated sexual assault in company. just saying.

12. Exes are manipulative, bullying twits
You know, from personal experience, ex relationships can be perfectly civil. So painting the ex as a crazy physco bitch who hires rapists to attack the new girlfriend is a bit over the top.

13. Fan clubs for the male love interest
"Do you really think you're good enough for blah-sempai? How dare someone like you just go out with him like that? Don't you know he belongs to everyone?"
"OMG IT'S BLAH-SEMPAI! KYAAAAAAA!"

And yes, this is not about some actor or singer, this is for some regular boy in the high school. wtf. Just because a guy is good looking, does not mean there's a horde of screaming fan girls who get angry when he gets a girlfriend. At least, not publicly anyway.

14. Amusement Parks
The best places for dates, apart from zoos and aquariums. Apparently. Actually i don't see that as a bad thing, but they always go to the haunted house so the girl can be scared out of her wits and jumps on the guy for support, and somehow finish the day on the Ferris wheel.

15.They get married in the end
(you will have noticed that i'm just writing things as they come to mind, so it's not in order)
Really, no offence, how many couples in 8th grade actually end up marrying? Or, even worse, 6th grade? (yes i have seen that one. yes it is adorable, but also slightly weird.)

16. Conflict of love interests
The rich boyfriend's father owns a company, and he has a fiance. The beautiful childhood friend comes back declaring her love. The ex appears (for either side). Some random beautiful transfer student attempts to snatch him away. It's all for the drama and we know they won't end up together. :)

17. The main love interest buys her a gift
Maybe a necklace, maybe a hair pin. Something small and probably cheap, unless he's some rich guy with a family line of hotels. It doesn't matter though, cause you'll think it looks awesome due to sparkles and bubbles.

18. Protagonist loses said gift and spend a whole night looking for it
And she probably lost it due to her nobly helping someone out or because some bitches stole it. And she'll spend a whole night, especially during rain or snow, to find this object. And then, of course, she'll get sick. Which leads to my next point.

19. Fevers and illness
"They say that when someone is sick they become enchantingly beautiful..."

Um, hell no. Being sick is gross. Your nose gets all red, stuff drips out, your eyes are puffy, when you speak you sound like you're a man/dying, your sweaty, your hair clings to your forehead, and no one wants to get near you, except your parents. Maybe.

Not so in shojo manga. In shojo manga, being sick means getting a fever, where your sweat glistens prettily and your eyes are somehow bigger than usual. Due to the heat, your face is flushed, but that's alright, it looks like a mild blush. Sick makes you pale, so your skin is lighter, clearer, shinier than ever. You can talk normally and usually you require congee and ice packs, which of course, your parents don't provide you with, but your boyfriend does. And he usually kisses her too, because she's so sick she can't wake up and he has to pass her water through mouth-to-mouth, or because she's just "so damn cute when she's flushed." Oh, and when the ordeal is over, you can even lose weight because you did nothing but sleep.

Being sick in shojo manga seems like the way to get guys. Who needs beauty treatments! Just get sick!

20. Beach
Mostly fan service, because the beach is where you can walk around half naked and it doesn't matter. (Y) More importantly, female readers want to see the male protagonists solid, muscular but slim body with no shirt on and just some board shorts.

Beach is always, real life and in shojo manga, preceded by dieting. But in shojo manga, dieting also means instant breast increase and instant waist decrease. Just like to point it out, it doesn't work that way. But hey, being that scantily clad means people get:

21. Nosebleeds
Some how in Japan, nosebleeds basically mean "DUDE YOU'RE THINKING OF SOMETHING DIRTY HAWHAWHAW" or that someone is just too damn attractive.

I get nosebleeds cause of heatstroke. What about you?

22. Valentines & white day
A huge deal in Japan, where girls give chocolates to people they love on Valentine's, and guys can reply be giving chocolates on white day. Actually a normal sort of thing, but it's blown into a HUGE DEAL, because blah-sempai has to bring 3 garbage bags worth of chocolate back home.

23. Christmas & new year
Christmas in Japan, as I understand it, is not an actual public holiday. However, the spirit of Christmas is still there, because everyone still celebrates it, according to shojo manga. And so, Christmas must be spent with your boyfriend as a romantic occasion for two; watching snow sculpture events, christmas couple specials, home made buche noels, etc etc.

24. Part time jobs to make money for dating
Dating. It's an expensive enterprise. Having to buy presents, pay for dates can take a lot out of an ordinary high schooler's wallet. Naturally one would need a part time job to supplement this. Oh drama.

Most of the time our protagonist will find herself in shady places such as maid cafes, cosplay cafes, even beach side bikini cafes, because as previously mentioned, cosplay brings out the best in you. If they manage to secure themselves at an ordinary supermarket cornerstore or fast food store, they usually will have a mean manager, a bitchy co worker, or have a school that doesn't allow part time jobs, and much drama is established from that.

25. Bubbles, flowers, sparkles and feathers
Not exactly a plot function, but they are essential to any manga. Functioning as a backdrop effect more than anything else, bubbles, flowers, sparkles and feathers indicate when moments are sweet, when someone is good looking, when people are happy, etc. Simply put, they set the mood.

26. Parks are always available and nearby for your convenience
Need somewhere to cry? A secret meet up location? A mood setter? Somewhere to finish a date? Or do you simply need to shelter from the rain? All parks are handy and close to main characters houses, located just for your convenience. Take use of swings for when you are depressed, hidey hole shelter things for cover and secrecy, and pagodas and benches for a romantic feel.

27. Kissing wounds
When our female protagonist gets hurts, the boyfriend will always be there to kiss it better. Or if it's a burn, to suck on it. Dunno why, it just does.

AND that's all i can think of for now.

Have a good day kids

Shojo manga...

actually really what's with this stuff? and why am i always reading it? i think if i was in japan i'd be some kind of major ass creepy otaku or something.

there are so many issues with shojo manga it's so stupid. like cliche much?

anyway a list of recurring plot things i can see. (you might not want to read this, it's insanely long. i'm not joking here. IT'S REALLY LONG.)

In this rant/essay/lesson, i have created some dot points to show you which subjects i shall cover. This includes these major topics:
1. the protagonist - our shojo heroine
2. the main love interest - what's shojo without a hot guy?
3. the best friend - cause every girl has one
4. cliche plots - it's like english ext, look for the recurring motifs guys.

the protagonist.
there are various types of protagonists. most shojo manga, (unless, for once in a rare 200 mangas, we actually have an individual author) fall into these categories

1. The Ditz.
Absolutely useless, this girl cannot do anything by herself, and if she tries, she most likely falls over or fails and starts crying. She usually likes a "perfect" guy, usually the most popular in her class, and they grow closer through some fateful encounter which we later find out that was actually engineered by him/he's always been watching her anyway. She thinks of herself as useless&stupid (correctly) and also not pretty (ridiculously) and is therefore inferior to the man she loves. However, he likes her because "she always tries her hardest" (even though she always fails) and her "honesty and purity is a refreshing thing"
example: practically every second manga you will read. One that comes to mind is Love Monster's Hiyo Osara

2. The Slut
Having been out with many guys (and most likely slept with most of them) this girl is unhappy with males and sees them all as chauvinistic bastards who do not care for girls and don't know how to treat them properly. With a fateful encounter, she meets a guy who seems nice, but she doesn't believe, being so obviously shown by all her previous boyfriends that guys as perfect as this can't possibly exist. However, she is proven wrong when he confesses that he fell for her long ago, and that her beauty as always charmed him, he's hated seeing her with other guys and he's so happy she's finally seen the light.
Example: I can't remember any, because i don't really like this type of main, she pisses me off.

3. The Nerd/The Loner
This poor girl has no friends because she is nerdy and "plain-looking." Often type casted as glasses wearing with two plaits, she is in love with some perfect guy who is the 'idol' of the class/school. However, she can only look from afar, as she knows she is very ordinary. Believing that she might catch his attention if she studies hard, because she can't get it via looks/personality, she either reads alot, or studies alot, often resulting in her being in the library alot. (not to mention he's usually there too.) However, one day, as she is walking home, she trips over, her glasses fall off, her plaits fall apart, and she falls down into the arms of the 'perfect guy'. and lo and behold, she's beautiful as soon as her hair is out and the guy instantly falls in love with her. Terrified, she runs away, he chases after her, she escapes, he catches her, and they go on a date. They promise too meet the next day, but she's sad because he only fell in love with her beautiful side. he is there waiting for her the next day. she thinks he won't recognise her, with her nerdy look, but he does. because obviously he's known all along that she's adorable.
Example: SUKI DESU SUZUKI-KUN!!

4. The sporty/manly girl
This variety usually is in a sport that is usually only for males, like kendo, taewkondo or karate. She thinks she is too manly, and most guys do too. However, she likes a guy that's either in her class or in her club and very popular because of his sporting ability. However, unknown to everyone, she has a very girl secret, perhaps an obsession for baking, or little fluffy toys, or pretty phone clips, or something. anyway, this secret is discovered by the guy she likes, and then he either blackmails her with it to be his 'slave' or promises to keep it a secret, she he becomes the outlet for her to give/talk about her obsession with. Later her secret is discovered, and depressed she starts crying. suddenly he comes to her rescue, proclaiming that all girls like this sort of stuff anyway. then he confesses to he confesses to her.
Example: The greatest example of all time is High School Debut, aka Koukou debut

5. The perfect girl/ the ice queen
This girl has got it all; the looks, the smarts, the friends, the money. A regular princess, and she's even referred to that sometimes. However, no one knows how much effort that takes for her to keep up. Holding a part time job, studying late into the night, she makes sure that she is loved by all. So why does she feel so empty inside? obviously it's cause she hasn't found love yet! (duh) enter perfect male, just like her, and she finds in absolutely insufferable. he finds her equally insufferable. One day, in her part time job, she turn around to serve the next customer, and WHAM there he is! shocked, he runs out of the store. BUT OBVIOUSLY, part time jobs aren't allowed, so she worries he will tell. But mysteriously, he doesn't! The next day, he's there again. and the next. and the next. Gradually they get to understand each other, he's not as bad as she thought. She's fallen in love with him. She confesses, and he admits he only teased her because he liked her. And then they become A POWER COUPLE! and rule the school.
Example: Kaicho wa maid sama, Special A, Kare Kano

------------------------------------
The next most important part of a shojo manga:
The main love interest
this is the whole reason shojo exists. If not for love, what is a rom com? And thus, a hero emerges, a hero who falls into one of the main categories:

1. The prince charming (often a sempai)
A sempai in jap is someone who is older than you. "sempai" theory is that if he's older than you, he's immediately cooler, smarter, and more mature than any guy in your grade (usually true, actually) Sempais are usually perfect in every way, knowledgeable, kind, a regular 'prince charming' and is usually partnered with the ditz or the sporty/manly girl.

2. The playboy
The playboy is exactly as he sounds, However, the charming part of the playboy (usually partnered with the nerd/loner, but can be partnered with the ditz) is that just for the protagonist, he changes his player ways to love the one and only girl. It goes without saying that he's unbelievably good-looking, cheeky, often bludges school, and obviously very sporty.

3. The genius (OFTEN A TSUNDERE TYPE)
Nerds are off-putting in girls, but sexism dictates that nerdy, glasses wearing guys can still be hot. And this it what this character is based on. Often the smartest in the school (even possibly topping state - or often NATIONAL- rankings) this character is often partnered with the slut or the ditz (hey, she's malleable) It goes without saying that he mostly uses his intellect to solve issues, but obviously he is strong physically as well as good looking.

4. The class clown
Frustratingly stupid, yet adorable, hilarious and very kind, this guy knows how to have fun, which is something our perfect girl/ice queen doesn't usually know. He can also be partnered with, you guessed it, the ditz.

5. The dangerous angry gangster
"watch out! there goes so-and-so!" "wow isn't he scary!" This type of guy, although he has extreme physical strength and often good looks, because of his bad temper, he often explodes and terrifies girls. usually he has some bad street cred, being quite a proficient fighter. However, he softens around his girl, and only she knows his kind side. Often partnered with the nerd, the slut or the ditz.

6. The childhood friend
A special category aught to be awarded just to this character. Always beside our protagonist, he can be paired with any of the main types. Usually cannot be thought of as a guy because of some silly event when they were younger, he suddenly wins her approval when she realises they are no longer children and he's probably on top of her after the fall down or something equally ridiculous. He often is a combination of a prince charming and a class clown, or a playboy.

NOTE: You can see all these personality types in Ouran High School Host club, with the exception of a childhood friend.

-------------

The best friend(s)
A special section must go to the best friends. And usually, there are 4 types, in order of most common to rare:

1. the bitch/the boyfriend stealer
This girl is a fascinator and ultimate fake. She is friends with our heroine so she can ruin all her relationships (cause obviously, that's why you make friends.) Usually, she'll try and steal our hero away from our heroine, but he'll reject her, and thus this girl will learn stealing boyfriends is not the way. And everyone will be great friends! (cause that's the way it works. obviously)
Examples: Best example of all time is Absolute Boyfriend

2. the slut
NOTE: THIS FRIEND IS NEVER EVER FRIENDS WITH THE SLUT AS A MAIN CHARACTER. (That's just too much slut) She's usually paired with either the nerd or the ditz (who obviously doesn't know about *gasp* sex at all) This friend usually puts pressure on our poor main about "never having had a boyfriend." and once our main gets the man, it's this friend that is scandalised that they haven't "done it yet", because all couples obviously do it straight away, and if you don't he doesn't love you, duh.
Example: Koukou debut

3. the good friend who has a hot boyfriend that our main falls for but she didn't know he was her boyfriend until it was too late
 Ridiculously, this happens ALOT.
To plot it out, this girl will be sooo bestie and she's sooooo happy that she has a new boyfriend, she wants to show her best friend. On her way to meet him, she meets a hot guy, and they fall in love at first sight. Then, she runs off to meet her best friends boyfriend, and LO AND BEHOLD. it's the mysterious male. They'll try to stay away from each other in forbidden love. But they won't. The best friend will hate her, and then be her supportive best friend again. (again, i don't know how this works AT ALL.)
Example: 37 degrees celsius

3. An actually good friend.
Very rarely do we ever find one of these gems, and i think this reflects true life as well. When do we really find absolute besties that we can share everything with? When you find one, keep them, because if you ever have drama (and if your life is like a shojo manga, you sure will) you'll need one of these girls to get you through. (GAWD I LURVE MY FRIENDS RIGHT NOW)
Example: After School Wedding, hiyoko

 cliche plots and occurrences
ACTUALLY I SHALL LEAVE THIS FOR ANOTHER DAY, because i cannot be bothered.

Thank you to my ultimate bestie and fellow shojo enthusiast/analyser mh.

ALSO because i'm having a doctor who thee, i really can't resist all these pictures i've found :)

Just for those kingdom hearts & doctor who fans out there. ;) [hell we need to meet up sometime, if you actually exist.
