I can't seem to sleep.
I've been going around reading everyone's blog and emails and things.
I even changed the blog user interface and sutff to the new designs. It's actually quite good. Better than facebook timeline.
Speaking of facebook, hilarity on my upload of the bread. Don't even understand quite what happenned there. Just turn around and suddenly there's 150+ comments and i though WOW PEOPLE MUST LIKE FREE BREAD. But in fact it was all just trolls and general rudeness.
Really, why do people behave like that on facebook? I don't quite understand. What really is the point of going around and just waiting for a lots of commented thing to go and slam people and like your own comments and not even speak english? i could not understand a single word of some comments. And then they still got like 8 likes. I don't understand. do you like the comment because you could understand the strange language, or because you couldn't or because it was just plain stupid. Because in no way was it amusing.
Even JJ's tv shows are funnier.
I should sleep, I'm being lulled into a false sense of security because i have no exam till monday.
Things that don't help you sleep that are supposed to:
- listening to music. but that may be because i only listen to stuff with lots of drums and guitar riffs.
- Drinking milk. That just makes me thirsty.
- Counting sheep. I start imagining where the sheep go and what they do and make up stoires about them and before long my over active imagination is enjoying itself and i'm not tired at all.
- Close your eyes and breathe. Because i get all twitchy and want to move or scratch or something.
- Reading. Because i get too involved in the story.
Speaking of reading i picked up this second hand book the other day called "turning on the girls" by Cheyrl Bernard.
I know. It sounds dirty but let me finish.
Basically, she postualtes that in a world that is completely run by females, the world is a better place.
However, like any new society, new ways of thinking must be organised, removing and changing the old ways of thinking.
One of them being romantic fantasies.
The character's job in this novel is to write these new politically correct fantasies appropriate for the modern woman in this new matriarchal society.
Which makes me think of Ang sung soo ki's speech, which i actually found inspirational.
Maybe i am a bit of feminist, i don't know.
Anyway, the point that the novel was trying to make was bringing up the flaws in our society and government system and trying to stress the importance of the role of women. I'm just going to say this, i might get backlash, but whatever, modern women have to deal with a lot more things than men. Family, job, housekeeping. Women try to balance traditional, patriarchal concepts of what it means to be feminine and a good wife, as well as maintaining the modern meaning of success and wholesomeness by having a good paying job and working.
At least, this is what i see from my mother, who i think is a wonder woman.
And men don't really have to do this.
So i say, women, go a feel good about yourselves.
Although i think the concept of what it means to be a woman and what it means to be a man in this modern society is changing. Which i'm glad. I hope it's moving more to equality.
Especially since in most Muslim countries (and a lot more countries are becoming muslim) women have next to no rights at all. Which makes me sad. At the age of 14 a girl can be married off as a 2nd of 3rd wife and expected to have at least 3 children by the age of 17 in these countries. And all they are asked to do is take care of the house and the children and clean the floors and all other domestic tasks.
You know, apparently a woman can be stoned for being too outspoken, and killed if she talks back to a man?
I figure i'd die pretty early if i were in a muslim country.
I find it disgusting.
And heart rendering.
Also, the book is pretty interesting.
Even if it does sound kinda dirty.
bye guys
i should sleep. or try to sleep.

FREE BREAD.
At parra station today they were giving out loaves of free bread.
I thought I was Asian when I got one loaf and was happy that my sister would get one too.
Then my sister came back with 5 loaves.
Which then Leon took as a challenge and decided to go and get AS MANY AS HE COULD.
I think ML was ashamed to be Asian.
Also AS kindly gave me his pearl milk tea :)
I like pearls now.
But he also threatened my loaf of bread :( I think he did something to it when I was off with JJ.
At any rate, I still don't believe basketball is more important than sleep.
Sleep is greater than anything.
In the library today, my sister and I were talking about elvish and lord of the rings.
And I asked her if she would choose an imitation of the one ring as her wedding ring.
And she was like only if it's not from smeagol.
and if we had to choose between the Evenstar and an engagement ring, we both agreed on an Evenstar.
"it is mine to give whom I will... Like my heart."

Maths and mayhem
Ok so today was weird.
After the 3 hour long maths exam, which was not that bad in comparison to how traumatizing the chem exam will be, I hung around at school trying to study for chem.
Which didn't happen. Ended up talking to a yr11 drama accelerate (which puts her in my drama class and she's insane gun) about doctor who and obese racist albino rabbits that eat chocolate and weetbix and fat cats and chickens that eat McNuggets. CANNIBAL CHICKENS!
I laughed so much I cried.
Then the real adventure began.
I forgot my phone today, because I was busy last minute looking at notes and I forgot to pick up my phone. At any rate this was bad because I had to pick up my mother.
For those of you who know me well, you'd say "alysha, when did you learn to drive? You know you can't drive alone on L's right? Even though you're old enough to have your P's by now, you still haven't gone to the RTA have you?" (Mr Anderson is forcibly taking me down to the RTA in the holidays lol. He has his P's and he's 4 days younger than me :p)
And as an explanation as to why I must retrieve my mother, it is because she had to fix her car, so she is left lifeless.
Usually she drives to the station, and then catches a train to her workplace. But with no car, she was clueless as how to navigate the system.
My dad dropped her off in the morning, but she had no other way of getting back other than bus.
Thus I had to trek to Epping from baulko to fetch my mum and bring her home.
Anyway, when I got on the bus, I had a vague idea that M61 goes to Epping.
Apparently, as I learnt when I got on the bus, it doesn't. It goes to the city.
And I caught an express. LOL.
So somehow, I ended up at wynard today. And I had to catch a train back to Epping.
And the train was delayed.
Leaving the school at 1:00, I got to Epping at 3:15.
If I had caught a normal school bus, I would have gotten there at 3:30.
LOL
Funny times.

English ext!
Tomorrow is English ext1. I spent most of the day doing chem. lol
Not much to say about today, other than some hilarious stuff with my sister.
[Bethany shows me a picture of a Korean boy's loveo in the car.]
B: do you think he's cute?
A: ... He's doing duckface...
B: oh. Ummm how about this one?
[four-in-one shot of different faces in each one.]
A: now he's doing duck face, blowing his cheek up, AND ALL WHILE IN BED. And his skin is ridiculously pretty.
B: I know him in real life, he's a facebook friend.
A: his double eye lids look fake.
B: but isn't he cute???
A: shouldn't you be asking me if she's cute?
B: ... Just help me with my speech.
LOL
Bye kids :D

Teaser.
I think I might try writing something up everyday. Who knows. What I do know is that I don't know how to use this app properly.
What I also know is that our head of English is crazy. The advanced hand out helped for nothing. And the ext1 stimulus is a bit dodgy, but I'll manage.
At any rate, I was doing Chem past paper when I realized;
I. Know. Nothing.
Really.
I would drop if it not for the fact that my mum got me tutoring just so I would feel guilty and not want to drop.
It's working.
Because I can't drop, but I want to, and I hate it, my marks suck and I don't work at it. I haven't even made notes and my exam is on wednesday. Everything else I'm so prepared for. Except maths. I'm never prepared for maths.
But chem, I have resigned myself to failure for chem.
Even though I like those chem jokes and titration pracs.
But I hate chem. I'm doing 13 units, I wanna just drop it and get a crappy ATAR. Whatever. Instead of not studying and feeling bad and not caring at the same time.
Speaking of not studying, the count for people who asked if me and ML are siblings have gone up to 6. Which is cool. These things happen.
It's hilarious though.
At any rate, researching for ext2 made me come across this interesting question which I will leave you, my dear readers, if I had any, with.
Let's say you're traveling the ocean on an old style sailing boat, with only wood and sails and rope.
Now imagine a part of the ship is damaged. So you replace that one plank of wood with another.
Is it still the same ship?
If it isn't, why?
If it is, let's say you kept on your journey. As you travel, each plank, rope and sail is replaced.
Is it still the same ship?
If it isn't, at what point does it change from being the old ship to the new one?
And how much of a thing is based on what it's called and what shape it is as opposed to what it's made of?
What do you think?

Wow.
You know, studying for exams is intense.
To make it more intense, try not studying. It's peaceful and stressful at the same time. I think nothing really beats it.
Also recently I've been studying at my favorite library, but it's progressively getting less and less productively the more people I get to know. Soon I shall have to buy silencing head phones to block out all noise like ML.
Which is funny, on the topic of ML, people who have asked whether we are siblings have increased to 4.
And I haven't written in a while so this may seem kind of ranty.
But I probably will write a lot more regularly now that I have a blogger app on my phone. It makes things considerably easier.
Anyway the point of this blog was:
Have you ever felt like everything that was happening to you was so ridiculously unjust you were so mad and crying at the same time? I didn't know whether to scream or cry.
Also I think the closer you are to a person the less you fight, but the more explosive the fights are.
On a more positive note, or negative, depending on how you look at it, they've chosen the next Doctor Who companion.
http://www.bbcamerica.com/anglophenia/2012/03/so-who-is-jenna-louise-coleman-the-new-doctor-who-companion/
Jenna Coleman. I think she's quite pretty. She's in captain America apparently.
And after exams are over I'm going to watch some of her stuff again.
Also I thought I would die today. Hermit is a hermit for a reason. Man, if looks could kill...
All in all, today was interesting, and plea bargaining means the same as case conferencing, though they sound nothing alike.
Bye kids.
And just to test the photo capabilities on this, I'll chuck in a photo of my cafe coffee.
:D

Memories and Memes.
So today was French trip reunion. :3 a whole year since i got a jetplane for 12 hours, then stayed in korea, then went on another plane for 11 hours, and landed in the most wonderful city (other than London.)
Paris (holds the key to your heart~. Yes that was an Anastaisa song reference. Actually i only understood half the french lines in that song after 4 years of french study. How sad.)
Speaking of the reunion, it really was just BT, RH and HH at R house. Which isn't really a whole group reunion, but hey, it pretty much was all who i actually hanged out with in Paris.
You guys are the best.
Things i learnt/remembered today:
- Pui de dome. GOOOOOOOOSH I LOST MY MIND ON THAT GOD FORSAKEN MOUNTAIN
- Pui de dome deux. RH's hill walking to her house. Nearly lost my mind, but R lost hers.
- Pancake mix must be tapped to make sure the flour doesn't stick to the bottle.
- Pancake mix surprisingly tastes really nice
- The difference between French Vanilla ice cream and Vanilla ice cream is really distinct. French Vanilla actually tastes like vanilla extract/vanilla paste, where as plain vanilla just tastes like nothing.
- RH is really clean
- I suck at snap
- RH's bro is very awks
- Something about an awkward palmtree? (Still don't know. but awkward eagles are cool.)
- Shopping with guys are not always an awkward experience. If they shop as much as girls, it can actually be annoying. It makes me wonder what a guy who doesn't like shopping actually feels like when shopping with a girl.
- I'm never going to get my money from Ian Kim
- HH initial judgement of people is pretty good.
- TETRIS!
ok.
now onto rellikami's meme. Although i will not try to demolish it, as he so accurately puts it. I actually think it's kind of interesting.
Hidden Hypotheticals:

Hidden Hypotheticals:
- Quick! You have to choose a superpower to fight a hoard of zombies. What do you choose?
The powers of Wolverine. Fast, strong, physically superior in athletism, with instant regeneration abilities and freaking swords in his hands.
Unless you consider that to be more than one superpower, in which case teleportation, so i can get the hell out of there.
- You are asked to give a speech in front of the whole school. What do you talk about?
WOMEN'S RIGHTS!
nah i dunno. Probably something on the lines of not being so absorbed in your own little facebook bubbles and the importance of altruism... - You're planning a scavenger hunt with all your friends. What do you include on the list of things to find?
Places, events and one chance finds.
So things like the three monkey pub, a photo with a bald guy, sticker photos at Capital, Orangina, a pen from a buisness, a reciept for ice cream at passionflower, a jumpshot in front of a fountain, a photo of someone climbing a tree, a purple flower...
random things. - You discover that one of your long lost relatives is actually Mrs. Bennett from Pride and Prejudice. How do you react?
Does that mean that I'm living in the Victorian ages? This question is kind of stupid. Mrs Bennet's personality would completely change due to the context of our times, as would all her daughters and Mr Darcy. And if i were living in Victorian times, my personality would be different as well.
Therefore, i assume you mean that my relative mrs bennett is an ancestor. Thus, I am surprised that she's not fictional, further surprised that i have a white ancestor, and then meh because she's dead.
And also kinda weirded out because that means i'm related to Mr Darcy. - Imagine that North Korea asks (and by ask they mean command) you to be their new "Glorious Leader". What is the first policy you implement? No more communism! Free North Korea and allow them to become a democratic state.
But someone would probably kill me. Oh well. - Tomorrow you are going to take on a Bear Grylls style adventure where they drop you in the middle of no where and you must find some sort of civilisation. How do you prepare?
Pray. Make sure i have internet connection on my phone, so that i can use a map. Bring HUGE backpack with sleeping bag, matches, waterbottle, saucepan, water purifiers, salt, sharpened swiss army knife, torch, anti-bug spray, camera and med kit containting antihistamines, antiseptics, astma puffers and bandages.
- Who do you talk to most on msn?
Rellikami. - What is your favourite time of day?
Well, my favourite time of the day is late afternoon... Bit of an issue here. :p - Do you listen to the radio, and if so, which radio station do you listen to?
Only in the car. FM 103.2 - What do you do as part of your 'morning routine'?
Get up. Get dressed. Brush teeth. Out of the door. (Y)
I remember for French we had to describe our morning routine with like 15 actions. I had to lie, because that is literally all i do. - Who is your favourite NBA player? (had to have this in here somewhere :D)ERGH.
I honestly don't have one. This question gives no leeway for those who don't know NBA. - Is society slowly heading towards total destruction?
Well really it depends on what you consider "society". Taking from Navigating the Global, society could really mean anything, from a Global society to local society to the society for preservation of raptors.
AND then you really have to explain what you mean by destruction. Do you mean destruction of values or destruction as in the apocolyptic sense or even destruction of order and a descent into anarachy?
So it really is too vague. Also shouldn't this be a philosophical question?
Fancy Philosophicals:
- Pro choice? Pro life? Pick one and justify.
Pro life. Even in rape situations, i think a life is a life. It doesn't matter how, it's still a person who has the potential to change the world. And it's not the baby's fault. - Should students be forced to wear uniforms? Personally i like uniforms. It means I don't have to worry about looking good at school, because everyone looks crappy in puke yellow anyway.
- Do you think that the existence of life on Earth is simply due to fantastical coincidence?
Good grief no. I believe in a Creator, a person who fashioned everyone and eveything, and truely loves us. A creator who came down to earth as a man, died for us, and then rose again. :) - Do you think that the world's best phone or the world's best computer is more useful?
Computer. It can keep notes on it for study. end of discussion. - Politicians are ruining our country. Discuss.
Yes. I don't think they really care about the people at all. Look past all your own pride and think about the community. - Why is it that butter alone tastes horrible but is necessary in almost all pastries?
Because butter is awesome. And i personally like butter on bread. (Y) Pastries need butter because it's a fat. It works like a binder.
Interesting Inquiries:
- Can you pull a good poker face?
Better than you can. :3 - Are you the type of person who wishes everyone in your contacts a Happy New Year?
Not everyone. only the people who are important to me, and i send them individual long posts. Then whoever sends me a happy new year text gets one in reply as well. - What do you think is the most important job?
Parents. Because they shape people to who they are. It can be questioned nature vs nuture, but parents give both. Especially in education and such. - Are apple products overrated?
No. I love my iphone. (Y) - What do you think happened to the baby in the banana boat ads?
He grew up rich, and no one knew the wiser. - Which is your favourite pokemon and why?
I had a sad childhood and didn't get to watch pokemon. Thus i only know some pokemon. Therefore, my favourite pokemon is pikachu, seeing as i know pratically no other.
I like jigglypuff though. :) It sings. (i think)
